The Summer Solstice signals a time of celebration

The Summer Solstice has been celebrated as long as humankind has looked up at the skies. It signals the beginning of Summer.

For farmers it's the time for planting and growth. For students it's the time to party. Even as we anticipate three or four hot months to come, this longest day also signals the slow shortening of days as we coast again to Winter.

So celebrate this time of the year with some late evening barbecues or a quick vacation. These lazy, hazy days are for relaxation.
